I was treated with dignity and respect by all the staff who dealt with me. Consultant, Registrar, Radiographers, Healthcare Assistants, Nurses, Theatre staff and pharmacy. The ward I was on (12A) was very clean and I had very good care from the staff. I had a drain in place when I was discharged and had to return to the hospital on 2 occasions to have the bottle changed. On both occasions the staff were helpful and dealt with it speedily. The Cancer Nurse Specialists have been a great help and support.

Long waiting time for Breast Clinic (mid July 2014). Mammogram lady was great - very reassuring and understanding. Doctor and assistant I saw for the examination were very harassed and not patient orientated. They did not spend much time explaining what was happening or discuss the situation with me in much detail. They were not careful to minimise the pain I was feeling and I felt I was being treated by inexperienced staff. They appeared to be overworked and tired. They also did not take the time to dress the puncture wound after extracting the fluid so the wound could have bled on my clothes. Fortunately the consultant I saw next - Mr Ahmed - rectified the situation. He seemed much more patient orientated and acknowledged this had been an error which should not have happened.

I attended the one step breast clinic at Wycombe Hospital and received excellent care from the staff when arriving at reception, the staff member undertaking the diagnostic test to the nurse and consultant (Dr Farid Ahmed) in the consultation. The department looked bright airy and was clean. Time was taken to explain what was happening every step of the way and I did not feel rushed or hurried, despite the department obviously being very busy. I was given time to talk. Luckily I didn't need any treatment so cannot comment further, but my experience was very positive.

I cannot fault the care and understanding from all the staff at Wycombe who have treated me during the last 14 months following a diagnosis of breast cancer. Mr. Cunnick and his team have been first class. Dr Pwint has been very caring and helped me through each process with good explanation of everything. The nurses on the Sunrise Ward are sunny like the name and extremely professional and caring. All in all, a difficult time has been dealt with in an amazing way by all the staff I was treated by.

All the people who really mattered were excellent and I think overall I received excellent care. When I arrived for day surgery I was a little surprised by the attitude of the member of staff with whom I had first contact. I thought she was quite unprofessional in the way she dealt with me. I had a bit of a wait before my op and at one point, whilst waiting for a pre-op procedure, I did feel I may have been forgotten about. When there are delays it is most helpful if one can be given some sort of time scale and kept informed.
